Hi! My name is Gina Alvarez and I teach Kinder here at Smith Stem Academy. I am a proud wife and momma of three growing kiddos who have all have been Smith Eagles. I grew up in Beeville, Texas and moved to Victoria a little over 6 years ago. I graduated from Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi in 2010.  I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 11 years now, and this is my third year teaching at Smith.  In my Kinder classroom, you will find early learners engaging in a variety of play-based learning activities that foster and grow Social-Emotional and STEM skills. I am a big believer in building meaningful relationships with my students as well as their families that support and meet the needs of each child. I believe in instilling confidence in my students that builds independence and enthusiasm for becoming life-long learners.
