Victoria ISD’s Office of Innovation will be hosting a VISD Finding Your “&” Choice Expo on Tuesday, Feb. 22 for all students and families interested in learning about Choice Schools in VISD. Choice Schools in VISD include Smith STEM Academy, Stroman STEM Academy and Hopkins and Shields elementary’s and Patti Welder Middle School’s Personalized Learning campuses.
The expo will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the District Event Center located at 1110 Sam Houston Dr. The expo will be a booth-styled event with teachers, students and parents promoting choice options in VISD.
Interested students and their families are encouraged to attend the Choice Expo and learn about each campus’ school model, pathways offered, the choice factor within the process for parents and the experiences for students and their families.
In addition to the Choice Schools, there will also be additional VISD departments present including VISD Head Start, Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH), Summer Programs, Pre-Kindergarten, CLI Early Education Center at F. W. Gross, and Talent, Acquisition, Support, & Retention, creating a one-stop-shop of information for the 2022-2023 school year for parents/guardians and families new to VISD.

The enrollment application period for VISD’s Choice Schools closes Tuesday, March 1 at 5 p.m. Notifications of Choice School Selection Acceptance will be sent out on Thursday, March 10.
